Mitch was born in 1966 to a family of artisans. While studying through mentorship, as well as higher education, he has developed a mastery of most every material available. This understanding has allowed him to incorporate many different aspects and techniques to his work.
Mitch has been working mainly with bronze the past ten years, and operates his own foundry. Every facet of sculpting is performed by him. This includes modeling, mold making, casting, welding, patination, and installation of the pieces.
He is currently working in lightweight concrete, which allows him a more direct form of sculpting.
Mitch has exhibited in many different venues, given lectures, demonstrations, and has numerous bibliographies. He continues to share his
knowledge, resources, and encouragement
with other artists.
